Hi, I’m Elise!

I’m a nomadic-blog-enthusiast, and I happen to travel around with a bobble-headed dinosaur!  Not your typical blog, eh?

Initially, I started this blog unsure of where it would take me.  It began as a way to keep my memories and stories accounted for, without posting too much on social media. I wanted to get the hang of WordPress, while also recounting my traveling tales from an insider perspective!

I am in the process of achieving a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Communication and Journalism, with a focus in Media Studies, from Wake Forest University. I love the opportunity to write, as well as share my experiences with those willing to read or listen. If not in front of a laptop working on WordPress, you can likely find me relaxing with my three Golden Retriever pups at my house in Beaufort, South Carolina.

I have just recently returned from an action-packed 2016. From learning about ecology in Australia and New Zealand, to mastering the art of the German language in Vienna, Austria, I have had a wild 2016. Here on my website, you can find posts about my time abroad, from packing disasters to nostalgic recounts. In the coming months, I will keep the blog posts within the national borders and bring you my insider scoop on Washington D.C. And later, you can look forward to my posts from Africa!

Stay tuned for what’s in store with this nomadic, dynamic duo!
